Ruth Rogers

Ruth Opal Rogers, age 67, passed from this life June 3, 2026. Ruth was born December 12, 1958 in Plaquemine, LA to the late Doris and Merlin Christian.

Ruth Rogers was a woman of strength, dedication, and unwavering faith. She loved the Lord deeply and carried that faith with quiet grace throughout her life, serving as an example to all who knew her.

She found joy in life’s simple blessings; working in her yard, tending to her flowers and garden, and spending time outdoors where she felt closest to peace and beauty. Ruth’s laughter was unforgettable, warm and genuine, capable of lifting the spirits of everyone around her.

More than anything, Ruth will be remembered for her steadfast heart, her resilience, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends. Her presence brought comfort, her faith brought inspiration, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Rogers; and one sister Naomi Christian.

Those left to cherish her memory include: one son Christian Mayers; two brothers David Christian (Linda) and Mark Christian (Deborah); as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of life will be held in her honor at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Maison Blanche Funeral Home Chapel. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
