Ladd E Cameron

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ladd E. Cameron, who departed this world on September 18, 2026. Born on January 6, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana, Ladd was a cherished son of the late Donald E. Cameron and Laverne Cameron.

Ladd was a man of many talents and passions, whose life was as vibrant as the classic cars he adored. After graduating from Andrews Academy in 1971, Ladd followed his love for children by enrolling in an accelerated program at Andrews University and Loma Linda University Medical School to become a pediatrician. Although he did not complete his medical degree, his career took a different yet equally fulfilling path. He founded his own construction company and later owned several businesses, including National Funding Capital, a commercial mortgage brokerage firm in Palm Springs, California.

Ladd's love for automobiles led him to establish Cameron Classic Cars in the 1980s. He was an active member of the Porsche Club of Southern California, often participating in meets and road rallies, where his enthusiasm for classic cars was infectious. Ladd's entrepreneurial spirit was matched by his commitment to his community, serving as chair of the board for two Seventh-day Adventist schools. His dedication to youth was evident in his involvement with Christian youth groups, where he was affectionately known as "Fun Ladd" for his sense of humor and gift for making everyone feel welcome.

In 1984, Ladd married the love of his life, Patricia Renee Cameron, in Brentwood, California. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Ladd is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his brother, Bruce N. Cameron; and cherished family members Dr. Blake Cameron and Courtney Young. He also leaves behind dear friends Charles W. Presley, Marvin Naylor, and Julie Vaughn, alongside countless others whose lives he touched with his kindness and warmth.

Ladd was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Laverne Cameron, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the next life.

In honor of Ladd's memory, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, reflecting his compassionate spirit and commitment to helping others.

Ladd E. Cameron will be remembered for his generosity, his love for family, friends, and community, and his unwavering zest for life. His legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and a passion for the things he loved most.
