Joseph Wayne Mosley, age 75, passed from this life October 6, 2026 in Alexandria, LA. Joseph was born May 1, 1951 in Jonesboro, LA to the late J.B. and Mary Bernice Mosley.

Joseph Mosley will be remembered as a man of many interests, a dedicated public servant, and a proud grandfather whose life was shaped by his curiosity, his work, and the things he loved.

Joseph had a lifelong appreciation for firearms and enjoyed the craftsmanship and technical knowledge involved in reloading ammunition. He also had a love for animals and found enjoyment in the many interests that made him uniquely himself.

In his younger years, Joseph was an avid reader with a particular talent for history. He was an intelligent man who enjoyed learning about the past and had a wealth of knowledge about historical events. His curiosity and love of learning remained an important part of who he was.

Joseph dedicated a portion of his life to serving the public. His career included service as a police officer with the Chatham Police Department and work with the Jackson Parish Sheriff's Office, where he also served as a dispatcher for a number of years. He also worked for the State of Louisiana. Through these roles, he contributed to the work of public service and the responsibilities that came with serving his community.

Above all, Joseph treasured his family, especially his grandchildren. They held a special place in his heart, and the time he shared with them was among life's most meaningful gifts.

Joseph's life was defined by his individual interests, his knowledge, his years of public service, and the relationships he built along the way. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him, and his legacy will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-three years Glenda Rentz Mosley.

Those left to cherish his memory include: two daughters Tina Holbron (John) and Angela Myers (Brandon); four grandchildren Seth Holbron (Megan), Saylor Myers (Caroline), Sawyer Holbron, and Amya Myers; one great-grandchild Emilia Holbron.

Graveside services in his honor will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Chatham Cemetery in Chatham, LA; Bro. Lynn Malone officiating.
