John Miller

John “Johnny” Wayne Miller, age 55, passed from this life August 16, 2026. Johnny was born April 2, 1971 in Abilene, TX to Elizabeth Ann Gallien and the late John Gibson Miller.

Johnny was, above all else, an original. He loved to laugh, loved to make other people laugh, and was rarely without a joke, a story, or something to say that could bring a smile to the room. Beneath that sense of humor was a genuinely generous heart. Johnny was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more than he did.

Johnny's life was not without its struggles. He fought battles that were not always visible to those around him, but through them he continued to hold his head high. Most importantly, Johnny was a Christian. His faith reminded him that grace is not reserved for perfect people, but given to imperfect people who continue to believe, hope, struggle, and get back up again.

Perhaps there is something fitting in remembering Johnny by the way he looked at the old things he collected. He knew that something could be weathered without being worthless, broken without being beyond redemption, and overlooked by others while still holding tremendous possibility.

Johnny Miller was one of a kind. He made people laugh. He gave freely. He created things with his own hands. He walked his own road. Those who loved him will remember the laughter, generosity, creativity, faith, and wonderfully independent spirit that filled the years he was given.

Those left to cherish his memory include: one daughter Makenzie Miller (Jacob Snyder); mother Elizabeth Gallien; father Kenneth Gallien; three grandchildren Raiden, Kayson, and Jaxxon; sister Lindsey Gallien; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2026, at Maison Blanche Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, Bro. James McCormick and Bro. Art Beebe. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
