Frankie Harper, Sr

Nov 30, 1960 — Oct 13, 2026

Frankie Lane Harper, Sr, age 65, passed from this life Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Frankie was born November 30, 1960 to the late William Thomas “Sugar Ray” Harper and Ellie Mae Sims.

Frankie Harper Sr. was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A dedicated logger by trade, Frankie was a man who understood the value of hard work, the importance of family, and the beauty of taking time to enjoy the moments that mattered most.

When he wasn't working, Frankie enjoyed doing the things that brought him happiness. He loved listening to the blues, taking a ride in his beloved Trans Am, and, above all, enjoying the good cooking of his daughters. Those meals were more than just food; they were moments to gather, laugh, and make memories with the people he loved.

Frankie was an avid storyteller who could keep those around him entertained with tales from years gone by. Whether sharing a memory, playing dominoes or cards, or engaging in a spirited game of spades, he enjoyed the fellowship and laughter that came with good company. He also cherished the quiet comfort of sitting outside in his favorite chair, taking in the day and enjoying life at his own pace.

Frankie had a way of finding contentment in the things that made life meaningful: family, familiar music, a good story, a friendly game, and a little time spent outdoors. His love for his children and the memories he created with those closest to him will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Though he will be deeply missed, the stories he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the moments spent in his company will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Frankie Harper Sr. will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of family, and his appreciation for life's simple pleasures. His memory will continue to bring comfort to those whose lives were made richer by having known him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-six years Carla Harper; one daughter LaTicia Bass; two grand-children Trinity Harper and TaMarrius Harper; four brothers; and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory include: two daughters Kifney Kendricks (Charles) and Lawanda Aubert (Nathaniel); one son Frankie Harper, Jr; ten gradchildren; one great-grandson; one sister Sharon Boson (Kurt); one brother Willie Ellis (LouBertha); as well as a host of extended family and friends.
