Bill was born on March 25, 1954, to Willie and Vermell Cox. He was one of seven children and grew up alongside his six brothers and sisters.

Bill had a special love for antiques and collecting treasures. He could hardly pass by a rummage sale without stopping to see what he might find. He truly embodied the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” To Bill, the things he collected were never simply someone else’s discarded belongings. Every antique had value, every piece had a story, and his treasures were worth more than gold to him. He took great pride in his collection and was always eager to show off his latest find or one of his longtime favorites.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Vermell Cox; his brother
