Audrey Breed

Audrey Elaine Breed, age 74, passed from this life Saturday, March 7, 2026. Audrey was born December 28, 1951 in Malden, MA to the late James and Mary Breed.

Audrey Breed lived a life defined by curiosity, creativity, and a deep devotion to the people she loved. She had a spirit that was both adventurous and grounded, equally at home exploring new experiences or working on her land, shaping it with her own hands.

Audrey had a lifelong love of painting. Through her art, she captured the uniqueness of creation, using color, form, and composition to reflect on life itself. Her creativity was nurtured through her education at University of Hawaii at Hilo, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art.

Her adventurous spirit led her to experience life in a variety of places, each of which added to the rich tapestry of stories and memories she carried with her. These experiences fueled her perspective, her creativity, and her love of life.

Audrey lived many years in Hawaii, a place that held special meaning for her. It was there that she met the love of her life, her husband Perry. Together they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and shared dreams.

Those who knew Audrey understood that beneath her adventurous spirit was a heart of remarkable strength. She loved fiercely and was a steadfast protector of those she cared about. Her generosity was evident in the way she gave of herself—her time, her kindness, and her unwavering support. She was the kind of person who made others feel safe, valued, and deeply loved.

Audrey will be remembered for her creativity, her thoughtful reflection on life through her art, her adventurous spirit, her strength of character, and the generous heart she shared so freely. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched, in the home and land she nurtured, and in the love she gave so fully.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of thirty years Perry Wade; two sons Ben Petrella and his wife Shelly of Eros, LA; and Michael Ortelli and his wife Kristen of Santa Fe, NM; four grandchildren Sophia Taylor (Scott), Adrien Petrella, Alston Petrella (Ash), Isabella Ortelli; three great-grandchildren; two sisters Connie Breed and Rosemary Moore (Lewis); as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
