Arthur Nichols

Arthur Daniel Nichols was born in Bastrop, Louisiana, on June 16, 1938.

After graduating from high school, Arthur joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed aboard the USS Hornet. Following his military service, he returned home to Bastrop, where he married and began raising his family.

Arthur was employed by Georgia-Pacific in Crossett, Arkansas, and later in life became a business owner in Donaldsonville, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Velma Nichols; his sisters, Betty Langston and Carol Miller; and his brothers, Bill Nichols and Charles Nichols.

Arthur is survived by his children, Susan Huffty and husband Bruce, Danny Crowe and wife Kim, Becky Crowe, Debbie Bolden and husband Danny, Jim Nichols and wife Jenny, and Gavin Nichols. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Interment will be held Thursday, October 1, at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, Louisiana, with his nephew, Mike Langston, officiating the graveside service.
